The Elite Federation of Grapplers tournament circuit in Michigan hosts four tournaments each year and awards points to competitors based on where they finish. Awards consisting of championship belts and trophies are presented at the first tournament of the year to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place division finishers. Most of the junior members of our team have won their respective divisions or placed second over the last two years.
The JJ Machado / Windsor Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Competition Team has won the last 12 out of 13 "Most Supportive School Awards" given out after each tournament by the Elite Federation of Grapplers tournament circuit. This amount of dedication makes the Windsor Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy the most successful team on the EFG circuit!
This team also most recently won the USA vs Canada Team Challenge September 17/11 sponsored by the Elite Federation of Grapplers tournament circuit in Michigan. The USA team was comprised of students from several Michigan schools and Team Canada was comprised of the JJ Machado / Windsor Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Competition Team and members of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy of Windsor. We are extremely proud of our students and our team's accomplishments.

June 26 EFG Tournament Results
All students are welcome and encouraged to compete in tournaments. Although it is not a requirement, the lessons learned through competition definitely add to each student's mental and physical skills.
Windsor Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy participated in a tournament held in Detroit Michigan's Cobo Hall for the Great Lakes Grappling Championship. The tournament brought several styles; jiu jitsu- Brazilian and Japanese, wrestling and judo to the front. The Windsor Brazilian Jiu Jitsu team members received awards for the Largest Youth Team and Most Supportive Team.
The Windsor Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Competition Team returned to Canada and declared 23 medals in all with 9 Gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze.
